The challenge from Google was nothing less than to reinvent the children's story book.

 

We began with an established story using LED technology to animate some sections of the book.

 

We eventually developed a story unique to an EL ink enabled story. This required investigation of technology options, animation methods, bookbinding processes, and the development of a programming environment for future exploration. The prototype was shown to a limited audience at Google I/O.
